Microsoft 365 and security
Microsoft 365, set up properly and kept secure.
Most businesses run on Microsoft 365, and most tenants grew by accident: a mailbox here, a Team there, MFA for some people and not others. We set it up the way it should be, or tidy up the one you have, and keep it that way.
What we look after
Everything in your tenant, not just email.
One-off projects or ongoing care as part of a managed IT plan. Either way, you deal with the engineer doing the work.
Set-up and migrations
New tenants, moves from other email providers or Google Workspace, and your domain and DNS records done right so mail arrives and nobody can spoof you.
Teams and SharePoint
Sites and Teams that match how your business works, sensible permissions and OneDrive sync that behaves. When storage fills up, we audit it and clear out the old versions and duplicates.
Accounts and access
MFA for every account, conditional access, separate admin accounts and sign-in monitoring. New starters set up before day one, leavers locked out on their last day.
Email security
SPF, DKIM and DMARC, Defender policies tuned for your business, and phishing reporting your team will actually use.
Devices
Laptops and PCs enrolled and managed, encrypted with BitLocker, recovery keys held safely, and patches applied without anyone having to remember.
Licences
The right plan for each person and no seats paid for that nobody uses. We review licences regularly and tell you what can go.
Security that matches real risk
Small businesses are targeted through email and stolen passwords.
Not by movie hackers. Most incidents start with a phishing email, a reused password or a mailbox rule nobody noticed. A handful of settings stop most of it, and they are the settings most tenants are missing.
Microsoft keeps your data running, but its retention is not a backup. If something is deleted or encrypted, you want your own copy.
- MFA on every account, no exceptions
- Old sign-in methods that skip MFA blocked
- Admin rights only on separate admin accounts
- Mail forwarding and inbox rules watched
- Email authentication: SPF, DKIM and DMARC
- Microsoft 365 and SharePoint backed up
- Secure Score reviewed and improved
Engineering and design firms
CAD and Microsoft 365, working together.
Big drawing files, PDM vaults, licence servers and staff working from client sites put different demands on Microsoft 365. We look after SolidWorks and Autodesk environments alongside the tenant, so the expensive software keeps working.
- Licensing SolidWorks, Autodesk and other engineering licences tracked, renewed and assigned to the right people.
- Workstations CAD machines on certified graphics drivers and tuned for the work.
- Files Large project files stored where they sync reliably, with storage kept under control.
How it works
Start with a review, fix what matters first.
-
Look
We review your tenant, security settings, licences and devices. Read-only, nothing changes.
-
Report
A short written summary in plain English, with the risks ranked so you know what matters.
-
Fix
Urgent items first, quoted before we start. Most baseline fixes take days, not months.
-
Keep it that way
Monthly checks as part of a managed IT plan, or a review again next year. Your choice.
Questions
Common questions about Microsoft 365.
Do we have to buy our licences through you?
No. We can work with licences you already have, wherever you bought them. If moving them to us saves you money or hassle, we will say so.
Can you do a one-off project without a monthly plan?
Yes. Migrations, tidy-ups and security reviews are quoted as fixed-price projects. Many clients start that way.
Is our Microsoft 365 data already backed up?
Not in the way most people assume. Microsoft keeps the service running and holds deleted items for a limited time, but it is not a backup you control. We add one.
Will MFA annoy our staff?
Less than you think. With the Authenticator app and sensible settings, most people approve a sign-in on their phone once in a while and never think about it again. We help each person set it up.
We already have an IT provider. Can you just do the Microsoft 365 work?
Yes. We can take on a specific project or review and work alongside whoever looks after the rest.
