Free PDF Rotator: Fix Rotated Pages in Any PDF — No Software Required
Free PDF Rotator: Fix Rotated Pages in Any PDF — No Software Required
If you've ever received a PDF with pages that are sideways or upside down, you'll know how frustrating it is to fix. You either need a full Adobe Acrobat licence, or you resort to online tools that ask you to upload your documents to a server you know nothing about.
We built something better. PDF Rotator is a free, single-file tool that runs entirely in your browser. Your documents never leave your device.
What Is PDF Rotator?
PDF Rotator is a lightweight browser-based application for rotating individual pages within a PDF file. It requires no installation, no account, and no internet connection once loaded. You open a PDF, select the pages you want to fix, rotate them, and save the result.
It was built to solve a real problem for a real client — and we're making it free for anyone who needs it.
Why We Built It
One of our clients regularly receives scanned documents — signed contracts, returned forms, supplier invoices — that come back with pages rotated incorrectly. A quick fix that should take seconds was instead taking minutes, involving workarounds, third-party websites, and occasional data privacy concerns about uploading sensitive business documents to unknown services.
They didn't need a full PDF editor. They needed one specific thing done reliably and quickly.
We built PDF Rotator in an afternoon. It now saves that client meaningful time every week, and the whole process takes less than a minute — open, select, rotate, save.
What PDF Rotator Does
- Open any PDF using the file picker or by dragging and dropping it onto the app
- View all pages as thumbnails so you can see exactly which ones need fixing
- Select pages individually, in multiples, or all at once
- Rotate left or right in 90° increments
- Save the corrected PDF directly to your computer
The tool runs entirely in the browser using for rendering and for writing. No data is transmitted. No account is required. Nothing is stored.
Who Is It For?
PDF Rotator is useful for anyone who regularly handles PDFs from external sources — scanned documents, returned forms, third-party reports — where page orientation isn't always consistent.
It's particularly well suited for:
- Small business owners who receive scanned paperwork and don't have Adobe Acrobat
- Administrators and PAs handling document workflows
- Anyone who needs a quick fix without paying for or installing dedicated software

Frequently Asked Questions
Does PDF Rotator upload my documents anywhere?
No. The tool runs entirely within your browser. Your files are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.
Does it work offline?
On first use it loads two small open-source libraries from CDN. After that, your browser caches them and the tool works without an internet connection.
Will it affect the rest of my PDF — text, images, links?
No. The tool only changes the rotation metadata on the pages you select. All other content is preserved exactly as it was.
Can I rotate just one page, not the whole document?
Yes. You can select and rotate any individual page or combination of pages independently.
What browsers does it support?
It works in any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on Windows and Mac.
Is this free to use commercially?
Yes, completely free with no restrictions.
